Welcome to the web site of the Hotel du Commerce !
The Hotel du Commerce lies in the heart of the Latin Quarter, near Boulevard Saint Germain and just a few minutes from Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral.
The decor is bright and the atmosphere is dynamic and warm. It is perfectly suited to tourists, students, teachers and families wishing to spend an enjoyable and peaceful stay in Paris and, in particular, the hotel distinguishes itself for its very low prices. A friendly and attentive team will be delighted to look after you. A refectory offers you the opportunity to prepare and enjoy meals and a hot and cold drinks machine is at the disposal of all. You will also be able to take advantage of the many shops in the district and the small restaurants and bars, and there is even a market 50 metres from the hotel.
Please allow me to suggest a few places not to be missed & The Coupe Choux, in the 5th district, is a very unusual gourmet restaurant, offering an outstanding decor, with dining rooms dating from the Middle Ages and authentic decorative objects, fireplaces and, also, refined and original French cuisine. The Cambuse, in the district of the Odéon theatre, is a small traditional restaurant offering local cuisine. The Gueuze, at the Panthéon, is a brasserie offering French specialities, a pleasant decor and a lively atmosphere. It is open late and offers service all day long. For walks in the neighbourhood, do not miss the Contrescarpe district in Rue Mouffetard, with its many restaurants, bars and open-air markets.
The Gothic-style Sainte Chapelle, built in the 13th century, is unique for its stained glass windows. Take the boat to Notre Dame or Pont Neuf and enjoy a mini cruise on the Seine. Visit Cluny Museum, a very attractive Medieval Museum, built on the Gallo-Roman Spas, and Cluny Abbey, with its medieval garden opening out onto Boulevard St Germain. Boulevard Saint Germain is great for shopping or relaxing at one of the many cafe terraces & and do not forget the internationally famous jazz clubs, just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. I know that you will be looking for many more good ideas when you visit Paris and I will be delighted to tell you about them all.
